Radon Testing

Radon…what’s that? Radon comes from the radioactive breakdown of uranium in the ground that enters the air. Radon is colorless and odorless so the only way to detect that is with a simple radon test. The EPA states that Radon gases are the number 2 leading cause of lung cancer death worldwide. The radon test consists of a small piece of equipment that continuously monitors the radon levels in the home for 48 consecutive hours. Once the test is complete, we will come back to the home and collect the radon measurement device and retrieve the results. What you want to pay attention to is the average level of Radon being emitted throughout the 48-hour test. If the Radon levels are above 4.0 pCi/L a radon mitigation is recommended.
