Victoria ‘Tori’ McClernon Headshot

I met Rob the summer of 2006. In 2008, my life was completed changed when I was afflicted by a critical illness. It left me in a coma for almost 2 weeks. I wasn’t expected to live and when I did, I wasn’t expected to walk again, be off dialysis or do much of anything else again. But I did. The day after I left the hospital, my brain swelled and the doctors induced another coma lasting 8 days, to save my life. I had to learn how to walk, read, write, etc. all over again. Robert was by my side the entire time. I married him once I could walk down the aisle without the aid of a walker 4 months after I first got ill. I’m still recovering, but I’m recovering!

In 2010, with our blended family, we bought a home. We met George Knox, the owner of Extra Mile Home Inspection Services, who was inspecting the home we were purchasing. Later George offered Robert a job. Robert and George made a great team. Later George wanted to retire and Robert bought the business in the beginning of 2016.

God has blessed me in more ways than I can ever express. And every day, God has blessed me with the opportunity to be a part of this. I am the only volunteer at the company, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is my family that God has blessed me with.
